Our experience with Rick as our relocation buying agent was nothing less than extraordinary. He went above and beyond during the entire process, from welcoming our entire family including 4 small children on house-hunting trips, to coordinating last-minute showings, appraisals, inspecitions, contractors and settlement. He made himself available 24/7 and was always extremely prompt with all of our requests. He is a truly caring, ethical, knowledgeable, experienced, top-notch realtor in the York, PA area and we would highly recommend him without regard to anyone. Rick Shaffer was by far the best realtor we ever worked with. He has a wealth of knowledge of the area, and is an incredible library of knowledge of houses, their potential problems, and the fixes for those problems. He has his finger on the pulse of the market, and was always right on the mark with his estimates. We had never bought a home before, and Rick guided myself and my wife through the process, and put us right at ease. After a couple of years of searching in various areas between MD, VA, and PA and also working with various realtors in other areas, we finally got to work with Rick. He found our perfect home in a great area, and was able to make everything work to get us into it. Don't take a chance on another realtor, work with Rick who is in my opinion the best in the business.

Working with Rick was truly a great experience. Based on his advice we sold our house in 4 days. Listed on a Friday afternoon and we were under contract with multiple offers by Tuesday. Couldn't ask for a more perfect experience. We would highly recommend Rick for all real estate buying and selling needs.

Rick was recommended to me by a close friend, and I knew the moment I met him that he had my best interests in mind throughout the process of purchasing a home. He is extremely knowledgeable and comes with years of experience in our area. He provides excellent advice, and was always readily available for a nervous first-time home buyer with many questions. I would highly recommend Rick to ANYONE, first time or seasoned home buyer, who wants fantastic service with a smile. He is truly a great man.

Rick went above and beyond in all that he did. Buying my home was a very tense time for me and I felt much more secure in knowing that I had Rick on my side. He was very genuine, honest, and helpful, as this is my first home and I had no clue. None of my questions were treated as silly and he always took the time to make sure that I was getting all the information, even that which I didn't know I needed. I would with out-a-doubt, hands down recommend Rick as a realtor. He is very knowledgeable about all aspects of real-estate and has no issues sharing that information. Seriously, all around good guy.

I was very fortunate to have Rick as my agent. By an accidental meeting he answered so many questions for me. Following the sudden death of my daughter I was raising 3 grandchildren. Not knowing which direction I wanted to go in he helped me every step of the way. We purchased a home and are exactly where we belong. The whole team was amazing.

It was wonderful dealing with Rick. He went out his way to take me to a few of my showings. He took his time to explain what was happening during the selling and buying processes. The sale of my home was prolonged because buyers were buying through a government loan but Rick soothed my anxieties by explaining ongoing issues as they progressed. I would happily recommend Rick to others looking to either buy or sell. Rick graciously walked me through a learning experience I never had taken before. A super realtor in my opinion.

I have known Shane for many years, so it was an easy decision for us to go with him as our Realtor. From the moment we met him, Rick made us feel like he would go out of his way to get our house sold as quickly as possible. We had interviews with a couple realtors and Rick was the only one who was both realistic and unapologetic about what our expectations should be in terms of pricing our house. He made sure we were well-informed and prepared for each step of the process. He recommended a staging professional to give us advice to make our home attractive to buyers. Knowing we had to be in a new city in 3 weeks, and armed with all that information, we had the house staged and ready for showings within 2 weeks. Rick made the entire process easy and understandable. He was always patient and responsive when we had tons of questions. And was honest and upfront with us even when there was news we wouldn't necessarily like. We would highly recommend Rick to friends, family and anyone needing a realtor in the York and surrounding areas.
